You would think a little town could not produce anything but hicks. But……this place ROCKS! The service in the restaurant was great, (we loved Mandy) all you can prime rib you could eat was good. Prices were a little above average but we were able to see a hypnotist show, thanks to Jana Mae (bar mgr), was very funny. Brooten supports a lot of characters that keeps things hopping. It is well worth the trip, plus there are two other great bars: Kadee Shack and Marcia’s. (Dec 19, 2008)

My wife and I stopped by for the hypnosis show just this past weekend. We loved the atomosphere and the setting. The food was wonderful. Our only problem was the service. It was painfully slow in all aspects. To be fair, I did complain and the manager made it right. It's a wonderful place and if they get those service issues solved, it may well become my new "favorite place to go." (Nov 3, 2008)

The pistachio and herb encrusted walleye is worth the 35 minute drive! The corn chowder was super as well. Movie on the big screen on a Friday night was different and lots of fun. The margarita is served in a small glass with too much ice but the bartender did fix the problem when asked. (Oct 16, 2008)
