Evelyn from Maple Grove says: I don't understand how a restaurant less than 1 1/2 years old can have such a bad reputation. I recently started a job a Monticello Hospital. When asking co-workers about area restaurants, I was overwhelming told NOT to go to Emma Krumbees in Albertville. Everyone agreed its terrible. My pastor lives in Albertville and said he and his wife had a bad experience and couldn't recommend it. Because of these reviews I would never go there. Sorry (Aug 18, 2010)
Digger from Albertville says: Not so good food for the price. Service was horrible. All stood around like they had nothing to do. Food came out cold. A man there...assuming to be management stood there at the bar counter watching t.v for about 20 minutes. So instead of him helping servers when at times they looked like they needed help decided to watch the game. So me and about 4 of my friends will absolutely not returnt to this restaurant again! Vicki from Elk River says: Shared a juicy lunch & fries - excellent food (Jul 18, 2010)
John from Albertville says: I've been here about three times since it opened and I wish I'd remember my disappointment before returning. Servers are cold and impersonal, then you pay a price for what should be a filling meal and they bring out these tiny portions with more plate than food, leaving you hungry and disappointed after eating. Are they hoping you want to spring for dessert to fill up? The food quality is average at best. I've had better meals at Denny's. (Jun 26, 2010)
Shannon from St Michael says: So excited to visit the New Emma's now open in Albertville. However there are 8 of us that will never go back. The food tasted good, but the dinner portions were a joke! We looked around to see if we were on candid camera waiting for our reactions to the small portions on our huge plates. The mouth watering description on the menu, were not the same when it came to the table. Sad that the service was slow and it was not busy enough to have dry drinks and appitizer plates still on our table at the end of the meal. Which is really too bad because we were looking for a great place to bring family when they came to visit. (Jun 25, 2010)
Miles from Walthour says: We were further impressed by the "buy one get free breakfast coupon we had". (Jun 6, 2010)
Bonnie from Monticello says: Great place to eat! We will for sur come back. The service and food was exelent!! With a family of 6 we pay alot to go out fo dinners and stuff but here we saved like 20.00 dollers. Our first time there and we loved it will for sure come back!! (May 22, 2010)
Robbie from Minneapolis says: We went to the Albertville location on Saturday, May 1st. Love the updated decor at this location-have been to the Belle Plaine restaurant and it needs to be updated! The food was great, service was pretty good. The only complaint-we were lead to a booth, the only one left, which looked directly into the noisy kitchen. The hostess left without even asking if the booth was ok. We sat there for a few minutes before the waitress came over, at that point we said we wanted to move to another place. This was met with a not too happy 'ok'-but we did move to a table. We should have been asked if we wanted the booth by the kitchen or if we would prefer another spot. (May 2, 2010)
Kathi from Arden Hills says: On Sunday, Jan. 31st, my family - 14 of us - visited Emma Krumbee's for the first time. The service was great and so was the food. Everyone loved it. We will definitely come back. (Feb 2, 2010)
Karl from Monticello says: We visit Emma's quite often - great breakfast (Dec 19, 2009)
Philip from Bloomington says: 4 out of 5 stars. like the building style of the original Belle Plain located restaurant better. The home style served meals and the friendly smiling faces that come with the outstanding servers are at this location also. Just an outstanding place to sit and have a cup of coffee with a piece of pie or even sip a glass of wine is pleasing to a wayward traveler like I or even for the locals. Will come back anytime for a friendly smile and a great tasting warm cup of coffee. (Nov 13, 2009)
Velma from Maple Grove says: Looking forward to visiting the new restaurant. Always enjoyed the BellePlaine restaurant (Jul 8, 2009)
